However on the current version I can now use set option to fix it, which is great! Still I believe the command would fix it perfectly fine with less bangs.

I tried a similar approach in my diary skin (without the triple quotes, updating the measure before the meter + redraw, and without writing to a file) after posting the reply to jsmorley, and it didn't work...
